The mission of the WIC Program is to
improve the health status and prevent health problems
among Ohio's at-risk women, infants and children.
WIC is a nutrition education program.
WIC provides highly nutritious supplemental foods which promote good
health for pregnant and postpartum women, breastfeeding mothers, infants
and children up to age five.
Who is eligible?
● Pregnant women
● Breastfeeding Mothers of babies to 1 year of age
● Women who have a baby less than six months old
● Infants and children up to five years old
● Live in Ohio
● are at nutritional or medical risk
● meet WIC income guidelines
How do you get WIC?
● Make an appointment
at a WIC Clinic
● Talk with a WIC health professional at your appointment
● If eligible, you will receive coupons to buy nutritious
foods at a local WIC authorized grocery store.

Program
● You receive nutrition
education for yourself and your children.
● You get nutritious foods at no cost and breastfeeding
support
● WIC helps save money. You can use the saved money to
purchase other foods
that WIC does not provide.
